Skandavan is a serene two-acre site and a place for integrating dance, music and yoga with daily life. It has a centrally located fish pond, organic orchard, rehearsal spaces, and scattered dwelling units for visiting artists, set amidst mature trees and flowering plants. It is located in the south of Auroville’s bio-region, 3.5 kms from Auroville’s Visitors Centre and 6 kms from Pondicherry’s French quarter.

This is also Rekha and Michael’s studio-residence, and has several pets on the premises.

It comprises a self-standing studio-bedroom with a smooth blue floor, big mirror, a queen-size bed that folds into the wall, two table spaces for computer work and a private bathroom. Shared kitchen facilities are available at the Dancers’ Cottage.

The Peacock Cottage:

This is also a private living and working space for artists-in-residence. It comprises a self-standing bedroom with a smooth blue floor, a large mirror, a king-size bed that can be split into two single beds, a table space for computer work, and a private bathroom. The cottage comprises two small private bedrooms located in a separate self-standing Annexe building. These have a common reading room, a kitchen, outdoor dining space and open-to-sky toilets and shower area. The Annexe Rooms are arranged with two beds each (on popular demand), as listed on Airbnb. They are, however, small, and are best suited for long stays as single occupancy.
